In the floral industry, we at Checkerberry's Flowers and Gifts understand the positive impact flowers and plants have on people. We have been an essential part of the Bay Area for over 25 years. Started in 1981 by Carol Murray and Jane Henrickson, Checkerberry's soon became known for its distinctive design. In 1992, Checkerberry's sold to Carolyn Tecube and Laurie Mazzotta. They brought their own style to the business and Checkerberry's flourished. Sold again in 2002 to Beth and Dick Clarkson, the store was moved across the street to a bigger, more inviting shopping experience. The gift department expanded and features an ever changing stock of unique, can't-find-them-everywhere gifts. A tuxedo rental department was the next addition.

Checkerberry's plant department expanded also. You can find everything from orchids to patio gardens. The move did not change the look or quality of the floral arrangements either. Our design staff can create the look that say just what you need it to ... "I love you", "Great Job!", "Thanks,", "Oops" or the most popular reason "Just because I thought of you". Checkerberry's number one goal is to make your floral or gift purchase as easy and confident as possible. Our staff will treat you like an old friend and favorite guest as they guide you through your "make mine special" bouquet that can be sent across town or across the country. The most important thing to remember is that you simply cannot go wrong with flowers. We're here to help, but you'll get all the credit .
